Service could not have been more friendly, inviting and engaging. Food was magnificent. I don’t write reviews often, so this is a testament to how great this establishment is. Lots of great places to eat in Whitby, but this one will be memorable for us. Highly recommend!

First visit to the marine bar & restaurant and I would definitely return. Service was great despite potentially being understaffed with waiting staff, everyone was working really hard to ensure we had a great experience. The Food was fantastic, having had calamari in so many nice restaurants in multiple countries, this was the best both of us have ever had, scallops melted in your mouth. Mains were great too and I enjoyed my chocolate decadence dessert. Thoroughly recommend eating here when visiting Whitby

Had a beautiful meal at the marine. The staff were accommodating and friendly, the environment was clean and comfortable and the food was incredible. Me and my mum had never had oysters so were allowed to order one each as a starter just to try, which were delicious! We then had a whole lobster thermidor each which was amazing also. Would highly recommend this restaurant!

Had one of the most amazing starters and mains. What stunning and delicious food.

Went because my wife really fancied some seafood for dinner (i myself am not too keen on it) i ended up ordering the seabass along with her seafood platter. It was lovely. Surrounded by fish and chip takeaways or food that makes you feel greasy after eating. Its nice to have some pleasant food with a more quiet atmosphere. Do expect to spend some money though as prices are rather high.

We had just landed in Whitby and immediately looked at places to eat as it was getting late. We called ahead to ensure they were still serving food! Venturing out in the wind and rain We got there and were greeted warmly and beckoned to sit down. The whole decor was very befitting of the restaurants name it felt very nautical! For starters, we had tempura oysters which were gorgeous and for mains a crab spaghetti and fish curry with greens on the side. These were also beautifully presented, the spaghetti had lots of large pieces of crab and tasted freshly made , just a little oily? My curry also contained lovely fresh tasting seafood with crispy skin pompoms..genius! The sauce was very ..hmm too much Saffron or something the greens consisted of lots of kale etc and was filled to the Brim so very goof value. The service was impeccable with just the one gent serving. Overall great atmosphere and gorgeous food.

Certainly the most enjoyable dinner of our 17 day adventure in England. Service attentive and engaging. Tonight our fish pie and seafood linguini superseeded our expectations. If by chance you find your way to Whitby, you owe it to yourself please do enjoy their offerings. PS: the chocolate dessert was divine! For those who enjoy decadence, who are willing to chance serious addiction, add to your dining experience.

Had seafood linguine and mussels with chips. The mussels were big, fat & juicy. Best I've ever had. In fact this was the best meal we had in Whitby.
